THIS TRIP REQUIRES 10 PASSENGERS MINIMUM BY JUNE 16TH TO OPERATE.

Any trip cancellations will be notified 2+ months in advanced.

All spots are booked on single or double occupancy rooms, so bring a friend or your significant other!

(Please note, if you would like to bring your significant other or a support person who is not in healthcare, we welcome them as your travel partner!)

Day 1 (August 17)

Arrival in Zurich

Welcome to Switzerland!


Guests will make their own way to our centrally located hotel in Old Town Zurich.

A train pass will be given to you should you choose to take the train from the airport and short walk to the hotel.


Grab a bite and a drink at a local restaurant and spend some time meeting your fellow travelers and hosts! 


Overnight in Zurich.
(No meals included on arrival day, but that won't stop us from eating together -- or at least grabbing a drink!)

Day 2 (August 18)

Zurich to Zermatt

Breakfast at the hotel.


Today we'll leave right from our hotel doorstep on a guided city tour. 

We'll stop at a local restaurant for a 2-course lunch before heavily indulging our sweet tooth with a visit to Lindt Chocolate Museum (audio tour included).

Keep your head on a swivel because we'll take the scenic train ride from Zurich to Zermatt where we'll be spending the next 2 nights.

Day 3 (August 19)

Zermatt

Breakfast at the hotel.


Today is a day at leisure. 

Choose from exploring the mountain town of Zermatt, take a hike through the alps, venture on the cable car up to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, or continue into the Italian town of Cervinia. 

Feel like relaxing instead? Hit the hotel spa or sauna and treat yourself!


We will be able to help you book optional activities closer to the trip!

Day 4 (August 20)

Zermatt - Montreux

Breakfast at the hotel.


Take the scenic train back down from Zermatt to Tasch, and board our private transfer to the lakeside town of Montreux.


Stop for a few hours to visit Glacier3000 where you can choose to walk on the world's first suspension bridge connecting two mountain peaks, complete the 1 hour glacier walk on top of an actual glacier, go sledding, or if the snow has cleared enough, let's get our adrenaline rush on the alpine rollercoaster!


Then continue by private transfer to the picturesque French commune on Lake Geneva where we'll spend the next two nights.

Day 5 (August 21)

Montreux

Breakfast at the hotel.


This morning is at your leisure. Grab a coffee and take a stroll along the river, visit the Freddy Mercury statue, walk to Chateau Chillon and take a tour of a medieval castle, or visit the Montreux Museum to learn about the history of the area.

Check out the local restaurants and maybe put your name in for a dinner reservation if one suits your fancy.


In the afternoon, we'll take a short train ride to a wine tasting experience at the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Lavaux Vineyard Terraces.


This evening dinner is at your leisure.

Day 6 (August 22)

Montreux - Gruyeres - Bern - Interlaken

Breakfast at the hotel. Today there is lots to see!


Departure by private coach to the storybook town of Gruyeres (yes, like the cheese!) and choose between an interactive museum, a visit to the chateau, or check out some cheese making right in front of your eyes! You might even be lucky enough to craft some chocolate treats!


Continue on to Bern, the beautiful capital of Switzerland, for lunch and a guided city stroll of historic and cultural sites.


Our last stop is Interlaken where we'll check into our hotel and have a 3-course dinner.

Day 7 (August 23)

Interlaken

Today is a day to explore and fill your adventure cup! 

Choose from exploring Interlaken, kayaking on the lake, hiking through the alps or behind a waterfall, venturing over to Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen, paragliding from the mountain town of Murren, or a combination!


We will be able to help you book optional activities closer to the trip! Please note, the better the weather, the longer the wait time at some activities. We suggest if there is something you're eager to do, you don't wait to sign up/get there early.

Day 8 (August 24)

Interlaken - Lucerne

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart by private coach to Lucerne.


Upon arrival we'll drop our luggage and gather our bearings with a walking tour of Lucerne. 


Take a mental snapshot of where you'd like to return to, explore more of, or eat as the rest of the afternoon is up to you!  Grab a beer on the old town boulevard, walk the ramparts on Musegg wall, rent a boat and cruise Lake Lucerne, or pop over to a spa for a relaxing afternoon.

Day 9 (August 25)

Lucern

Breakfast at the hotel.


Embark on a journey to Mount Pilatus leaving Lucerne by public bus to Kriens. Board the gondolas and ride up the mountain with a breathtaking view.


Enjoy free time on top of Mt Pilatus to walk the Dragon Trail, zip line through the trees, or ride a toboggan with views of the lake and mountains. Up at the top are some shops and more viewpoints to explore!


Descend by the world's steepest rack-railway to Alpnachstad and take a boat ride over Lake Lucerne back to the city.


This evening we'll have a fun farewell "dinner and a show"! We'll head over together for a classic Swiss Folklore dinner with cheese fondu!

Day 10 (August 26)

Departure Day

Breakfast at the hotel.


Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and we're sad to part ways, but hopefully you'll join us on our next trip! 


Depart as a group from Lucerne to Zurich airport. If you're heading elsewhere, you can catch the train from Lucerne, or Zurich airport on your own. If you'd like a private transfer or train ticket from Lucerne, these can be coordinated for an extra cost.

Please try to book your flight departing late morning/early afternoon if possible to help us coordinate the best departure transfer for the group.
